SDG in partnership with Tribute Communities is developing the 400 acre Village of Brooklin located at the corner of Hwy. 12 and Hwy. 7 in the Town of Whitby. The Village of Brooklin community was based on strong architecture designed to blend with the existing Village of Brooklin. Architectual elements including large front porches, and rear yard detached garages were incorporated into the community design that received the OHBA's Community of the Year award in 1994. The Village of Brooklin received the GTHBA's Grand Sam Award in 1995, the GTHBA Sam Award for Best Architectual Design in 1996, and the OHBA Most Outstanding Production Home Design in 1997.
